SUITED FOR ALL ABILITIES

There are three levels of runs to suit all abilities. Please read the description of each level of the run before booking a session. These levels have been created for everyone’s’ own safety and enjoyment.

All group runs are operated in a ‘Covid Safe Environment’ as dictated by England Athletics. Please familiarise yourself with the guidelines before attending a run.

Weekday Evening Runs

Advanced

An advanced level for established off-road runners, with plenty of technical terrains and plenty of elevation.

This group tends to cover 9 to 20 miles on a much more technical trail. There may be moorland trods and sections over rougher or steeper terrain and the odd bog or two. Expect lots of hills!

To fully enjoy the experience, you should be comfortable running continuously for at least 2  hours and have good experience of trail or fell running with hills. Longer weekend runs will require full FRA kit and further experience. Endurance is more important than speed.

intermediate

A friendly flowing intermediate guided run designed for those who have been out on the trails before and want to just run without having to think about where they are going but may not have experienced technical terrain or lots of elevation.

This group normally covers around 6-8 miles on low-lying moorland paths and some technical ascents and descents. Expect some hills which you may be walking. These runs are normally around 1.5 hrs in duration.

To fully enjoy the experience you should be comfortable of ‘easy-going’ trails, or hiking and have the capability of running 10km or 6 miles in around 1 hour .  We won’t be running at this pace but it gives a good parameter to work from.

introductory

A beginner-level introductory / improvers guided run designed to help you with that early challenge of being confident to get moving on the trails. Typically around 45 minutes to 1 hr in duration.

This group is perfect if you are new to trail running or wanting to ‘get back into it’. Set on flatter less technical terrain still, the session will be around 45 to 60 minutes at a leisurely pace to build up your strength, stamina, and skills to become a more competent trail runner.

To fully enjoy the experience, you should be able to comfortably run for around 45 minutes, or perhaps looking around a 30-40 minute  5km or Parkrun if you have done any events previously.

If anyone is interested in an Open Water swim/dip afterwards this is also a ‘tag on’ option (currently at your own risk)

Weekend Half Day Adventures

We will soon be offering half-day trail running adventures on the hills during weekends. These sessions will take you to the next level. You will discover some exciting new trails, stunning views and get the chance to really immerse yourself with the trails without the hassle of worrying about getting lost.

Take away heaps of trail running tips and advice and share these amazing experiences with like-minded people. You’ll want to come back time and time again!

The weekend trail runs will be longer than the evening ones. Expect to be on your feet for around 4 hours, covering anything from 12 plus miles normally with 2000ft plus of  climb.

Trail Running Weekends

We are running an unforgettable trail running experience in the Yorkshire Dales at the beginning of July.  Postponed from 2020 due to COVID-19 it is currently sold out but if any places become available you will be the first to know.

If you are interested please get in touch as there will be opportunities to attend further weekends once we know what is happening in the world.
